just to let you know

Project 5 will be up soon but I also wanted to tell you that I have 27 retired items for sale on ebay you can see them all here or by searching for seller hollydaveandco. They are on there last 24 hours so snatch them up while you can!!

Project Number Four

Is a box that can hang from a door handle. Well it’s a door hanger box I guess, I’m not really great at naming things. Now I have seen similar things done before but from memory that started with an actual door hanger base and we’ll be making our own.

1. Start with the door hanger itself by cutting a piece of Apricot Appeal cardstock 9cm x 21cm. Decorate with the chick hatching from the egg out of the A Good Egg set. Using the 1 3/8″ Circle punch push the 9cm side (at top) into the punch as far as it will go and centre it. Punch then use scissors to make a slit to the outside of the cardstock.

2. Make the box by cutting a piece of cardstock 14 x 21cm. Score on the 21cm side at 1cm, 6cm, 15cm & 20cm. Score on the 14cm side at 8cm & 13cm. (I will upload a diagram soon so you can see what I mean.)

3. Assemble the box and stick the door hanger to it. Decorate the front with a 2 inch x 19cm designer paper strip. A Chocolate Bunny stamped in Versamark onto Close to Cocoa cardstock and cut out and a Happy Easter greeting from the Greetings Eight set punched out with a 3/4″ circle punch.

Project Number Three

Is a 6″ x 6″ scrapbook page to celebrate your Easter Memories.

1. Start with 6″ x 6″ Certainly Celery base, stamp the flowers from A Good Egg set in Certainly Celery ink over the bottom third of the page.

2. Cut a piece of Barely Banana cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and use as the mat for your photograph. Attach to the left of the page.

3. Stamp the Bunny Rabbit from Greetings Eight onto Whisper White cardstock in Barely Banana ink, punch out using the 1 3/8″ circle punch. Mount onto a Bashful Blue Scallop Circle and onto the page at the bottom.

4. Write your title in the top right corner and any extra journaling below.

just a quick note to say

I have the next few projects ready to be uploaded and shown to you I just need some extra time to get the posts put up so you should see them tomorrow afternoon and I’ll give you projects 3, 4 and 5!

Projects 6 & 7 will be posted Monday

Day 2

Project Number Two

An Easter Card, I’d like to think this card could be given to anybody, young or old to enjoy. I have to admit to also being proud of the fact that my darling husband thought the bunny looked just like a real chocolate one and good enough to eat.

I don’t have a pdf of instructions for this one so I’ll list them out at the end, I clear embossed the Bunny rabbit to make him look like a chocolate bunny. Mmmm chocolate! LOL!

Here’s a detail view of him:

And here’s how to make your card:

1. Start with a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock that is 26cm long by 10.5cm high, fold in half. Scallop the front edge using the Scallop Edge punch.

2. Cut a piece of So Saffron cardstock 11cm x 4cm. Stamp Happy Easter from the A Good Egg set in So Saffron ink in the bottom left corner of the strip. Attach to the card front from the fold.

3. Cut a piece of Old Olive cardstock 7cm x 4.5cm and place on the card front overlapping the So Saffron strip.

4. Take a piece of Close to Cocoa cardstock and stamp the Chocolate Bunny (Summer Mini Catalogue) onto it using Versamark ink. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and remove the excess then heat set with a heat tool.

5. Using paper snips cut the Chocolate Bunny out and attach to the Old Olive cardstock piece on the card front.

It’s as easy as that. Don’t forget we are in the last week of the Summer Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration, so this is your last chance to get your order in as some of these products will likely never be seen again.

You can order by sending me an email at hcarruthers@live.com or Phone/Text to 0406 057 751

Better late than never…

What a busy few days it’s been and between it all it completely slipped my mind about my Easter Blog Extravaganza, thankfully we still have plenty of time!

Project Number One

If you’ve always wanted to make a tall easter egg milk carton then you’ve come to the right place, you can download the instructions below to make one for yourself from a single piece of 12″ x 12″ cardstock or designer series paper.

This box also looks really great done with designer series paper and is perfect for filling with easter eggs, it could also be used to hold other gifts throughout the year.

You know what I love most about being a home business owner…

When things/life gets tough or demanding I can easily move the goal posts and take a break and my business is still there!

This week has been good for me, for a couple weeks now I hadn’t been sleeping properly, staying up late, getting up early and last week it finally hit me why I couldn’t sleep. WAY too much coffee! I had gotten to the point where I was having at least 2-3 coffees a day and the caffeine was keeping me awake when I shouldn’t have been. I’ve only had 3 coffees all week and now I feel tired but good because I’m catching up on some much needed sleep!!

So let this be a lesson learnt, too much caffeine really is bad for you, and it makes you really cranky! LOL!

Virtual Card Club will be up by the end of the week and I really need to work on being more reliable and self motivated. Considering all the plans/ideas/goals I have for my business it’s time to get them off paper and into the world!

See you soon!

Virtual Card Club

I know it was supposed to be up yesterday, unfortunately I didn’t quite get there so I plan to have it up tonight or tomorrow. I also have three great prizes to raffle off so contact me via email if you’d like to know more and buy some tickets!
