hi, bye and question?

26 06 2008

Hello friends! (that’s the hi part and here comes the bye part!)

Nope I’m not leaving SU! or anything like that, I have been cleaning out my office/scraproom (or crap room as my partner likes to call it because it generally looks like someone blew it up!! :) )

So I’m saying goodbye to some of those things that have just been sitting around here feeling unloved and unwanted. So if you’d like to have a looksie and see what I have going you can see it all here. I will however be adding more to the goodbye pile and ebay in the coming days so keep your eyes posted. There are of course some retired Stampin’ Up! product listings. I do have other sets I may part with in the future but I’m not quite ready to let go of some of my retired sets yet, I will of course let you know if I do decide to sell them!

Now to the question??? What do you think of my new banner at the top of my blog, I kind of designed it myself. Do you think it’s easy to read or could it use some work?? All of your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks for reading! I’m trying to make a conscious effort to blog more, one last thing if you aren’t on my newsletter mailing list click on the button in the right hand column below the calendar and it’ll take you to a page where you can sign up! Remember only my newsletter subscribers get exclusive offers and a monthly tutorial so join soon if you haven’t already!

Bye!

Holly

This week’s creations!!

25 06 2008

Hi all I’m back! Did you miss me?? Yeah I missed me too, I’ve been stuck in a technicolour whirlwind of goings on! Crazy isn’t it?

Anyway I wanted to show you some of my recent creations. I made this little notecard to fit in these envelopes that I found at officeworks. I’ve used Circle of Friendship and Basic Phrases sets, Fall Flowers designer paper, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch and blue bayou double stitched ribbon. These cards are approximately 11cm long and 6cm wide.

The next three cards were a part of our monthly team cyberstamp. The first challenge was to use designer paper on a card or layout. I wanted to use my new Bronc Buster set and matching Outlaw paper. I also used the crop-a-dile (LOVE this tool!!) and some Antique Brass eyelets!

The second challenge was a sketch and this is what I came up with using the Boho Backgrounds set and Berry Bliss designer paper. The colours are Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black and Purely Pomegranate which is one of the 2008 In Colors!

The 3rd and final challenge was to make a card or layout using a variety of punches and I had the idea of making a sort of garden scene. The paper for my “grass” is old olive prints designer paper and I’ve used a variety of circle punches.

Last but not least I wanted to show you my very first all Stampin’ Up! 12 x 12 scrapbook layout. I’m really excited about this!! I used our new anchored rub-ons for the stars and arrows on cardstock then simply cut them out and ahdered them to my page. It’s a very simple scheme and took no longer than 30 minutes to put together!
