Stamps: Upsy Daisy

I love making these envelopes, they are quick, simple and highly gorgeous! We made this one at a workshop a month or two ago and all of the ladies loved it!

Instructions:

Seal your envelope, cut off 4.5 to 5cms from one end, stamp/decorate larger piece (background only), run through your crimper, add focal image and slide it into your 5cm topper piece and wa-lah you have an instantly cool way to package a gift card!

Set: Season of Joy

Here’s another example, while the first one is great for birthdays or thank you’s this one is great for putting on someones christmas tree as their present. I also love the scalloped edge on the topper, it’d also look fancy using the eyelet border punch!

Watercoloured Pun Fun

3 11 2009

Set: Pun Fun

This was another card we made at a watercolouring workshop! The pun fun set is perfect for watercolouring because it’s all line art images, with totally cute sayings attached to each image like Happy bird-day (for the bird above) Thank Ewe for the Sheep, and Get Whale Soon (I’m sure you can guess which image goes with that ;) )

On this particular card we stamped the image in Basic Black ink on Whisper White and coloured using blender pens and inkpads. I had to replace my blender pens after completing this workshop but the good news is they lasted me almost three years and cost me $18.95 for a packet of three double ended pens! Now there is great value for money!!

To order any of the supplies used to make this card or to book your own watercolouring workshop call/ sms: 0406 057 751 or email: hcarruthers@live.com

A Catalogue Case

Set: Bella's Bloom Card Colour & Layout borrowed from page 117

I was challenged to recreate a card from the Idea Book & Catalogue, and I chose the one in the middle on page 117, I didn’t have the Pocket Silhoutettes stamp set so I chose to use Bella’s Bloom instead and I’m really happy with the way it worked out!

I used the Catalogue Stampin Supplies, you can download the pdf here to find out what I needed to recreate this card and went from there. CASEing cards from the catalogue is a really great idea especially if you are pressed for time!

If you’d like to order any of the supplies needed to recreate this card yourself call/sms: 0406 057 751 or email hcarruthers@live.com

A rose is a rose

Set: A rose is a rose DSP: Bella Rose

Ok so you can’t tell from the photo but when we made these cards in a watercolouring workshop a few months back, we actually wet the paper then stamped the background image in pink pirouette, let it dry and stamped the outline image over the top in riding hood red.

Note: You’ll need thicker cardstock like confetti white/vanilla to make this work plain white and vanilla will not stand up to this technique. (Ask me I tried, & not just once ;) )

I absolutely loved this technique with this stamp set so if you’d like to try it for yourself call/sms 0406 057 751 or email hcarruthers@live.com and we can set a workshop date for you!
