hey guys n gals,
I’ve been having a little bit of trouble lately logging in so my blogging is a bit more erratic than I would like. It’s most likely got to do with us having used up this months data allowance but we won’t dwell on that. I have done the Valentine’s gift I just forgot to photograph it and post it, plus I have something new to share, something I’ve never done on this here blog. I’m sharing a recipe, one I’d never used before yesterday but that I’m very pleased with the result of. I’m going to be sharing more everyday life stuff as well as craft and anything else that tickles my fancy. Lol. So keep tuning in!
Til next time, happy crafting
I’m still a bit undecided about this card, I like it but I’m not loving it. However this is a new phase for me I’ve never really made cards that weren’t using all Stampin’ Up! products. Much of this card used scraps or random embellishments from my never dwindling stash.
Stamps: Hampstead Icons and Sentiments set
Ink: Olive Green Stazon & Versamark
Embellishments: Heart: Kaisercraft Hummingbird Collection die cut shapes, Francheville die cut buttons, Pool Party Baker’s Twine by Stampin’ Up!
Paper and Cardstock: cardbase: I think it’s Basic Gray by SU! and the patterned paper is by SU! also but it’s from a few years ago and I can’t remember the name of it.
Last year I started giving my kids little Valentine treats, last year’s was a brown lunch bag with a Valentine note and lots of fun little bits and pieces for them (and of course some chocolate too!) so I’ll be back in a few days to share what they are getting this year.
Til then happy crafting,
This year Stampin’ Up! are celebrating their 25 year anniversary.
You can find the US head office of Stampin’ Up! on face book here and the South Pacific office (Aus & NZ) here, to keep up with exciting information about the company.
I’ll also keep you updated about any special 25th anniversary promotions that Stampin’ Up! will be running. They have been around 25 years and I hope to see them around in another 25 years.
Til next time happy crafting,
For my 2012 album I’ve decided to take a different approach. I’m not doing a separate album this year, I’m keeping it super simple and just getting it done. I’m using the Merry Moments simply scrapping kit from the Holiday Mini and doing as little embellishing as possible. I’m mainly using the papers, card stock, and stickers from the kit plus the Stampin Dazzle markers in gold and silver for my journaling. I haven’t printed my pictures yet, but I’m getting the ground work done so that all I have to do is add my pictures and the whole thing is complete. Sorry about the glare on these pics but they were the best I could do right now

I now have enough space for 28 photos. 1 for each day from the 1st to 24th and four from the 25th of December. Then all I’ll need to do is add a bit of journalling and hey presto! completed december daily
So now I’m off to get my pictures printed so I can show you all the completed pages.
Til then happy crafting,
I decided I needed a kick in the pants to make something and for me the perfect way to get it is to challenge myself to use certain colours.
So I went to http://colorlab.mycreateink.com/ and pushed the surprise me button a couple of times until this lot of colours showed up.
Then I pulled out a sheet of cardstock of each of these colours and it screamed blokey card to me. The only stamp set I own at the moment that is even remotely blokey is Clockworks, so I went with it.
I’m actually kind of surprised at how quickly the whole thing came together.
I am really happy with how it turned out. Now I challenge you to take the colour challenge, either with these colours or with other randomly selected colours and see what you come up with. Also I’d love it if you’d link to your card in the comments so I can see what you’ve come up with.
Til then happy crafting,
Procrastinating, that is!
I don’t particularly enjoy being one of those people who keeps putting things off again and again, but it seems to be in my nature and I can’t seem to help myself. I was doing so well with blogging I even had all the posts I wanted to do planned out and everything. Then we had two super hot 40C+ days where it was really sticky and too yucky to do anything (inside or out) and all my good intentions went right out the window…again.
So it’s time to get back on track I’ve done two things today that I have been putting off (for quite a while) I sorted through my kitchen pantry cupboards, they look twenty million times nicer :). And I cleaned off our dining table, so we can eat there again, it had become a major dumping ground and now I’ve got U Can’t touch this by MC Hammer playing and I’m going to retidy my craft desk and get to work.
See you soon
